Do I get academic credit for my studies abroad?
YES - Credits earned while on exchange are transferred to your University of Windsor transcript. Grades for courses taken at external institutions are also listed on your transcript and will be included in the calculation of your University of Windsor averages (this does not apply for Law or MBA students).
Who can participate in an exchange program?
Any UWindsor student who has:
* completed approximately 20 classes by the time of departure
* a minimum Cumulative average of 8.0 (B- average) (8.0 Cumulative GPA)
Where can I go?
The University of Windsor has several exchange programs in place with institutions in the following destinations: Australia, Chile, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom
Will my participation delay graduation?
NO - An Exchange experience planned appropriately and in consultation with your academic department is intended to be an integral part of your degree program without delaying graduation.
Is there any financial assistance available?
YES - Students remain eligible for the undergraduate bursaries and scholarships and OSAP recipients retain their eligibility. There are also a number of bursaries/ scholarships that are available specifically to students selected for exchange.
When do I apply ? How do I apply
Students normally apply in their 4th-6th semester of study
For exchanges starting in the Fall semester applications are due before January 15
For exchanges starting in the Winter semester applications are due before September 15
